The 3rd “Hopefound Cup” Sino-ROK College Student Entrepreneurship Contest Held at SDUW

    On December 3, jointly held by Shandong University, Weihai (SDUW) and Hoseo University, the 3rd “Hopefound Cup” Sino-ROK College Student Entrepreneurship Contest was held at SDUW. Prof. Chen Guanjun, Vice President of SDUW and Prof. Liu Hai, Vice President of SDUW attended the ceremony and gave their speeches. 12 teams from six universities, namely Hoseo University, Yeungnam College of Science & Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, Weihai, Ludong University, Shandong Technology and Business University as well as SDUW participated in the Contest.
    During the speech, Prof. Chen pointed out that exchanges and cooperation in areas of culture as well as education between China and South Korea had created a harmonious atmosphere for college students to strengthen their communication and mutual trust. The Contest will further promote the exchanges of ideas and practice between young entrepreneurs from both sides, while enhancing students’ entrepreneurship competency. He also welcomed Korean students to carry out their entrepreneurial programs in China.
    On behalf of SDUW, Prof. Liu delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, during which he said that since 2003 when SDUW and Hoseo University established friendly partnership, the two sides had carried out regular exchanges of staff and in-depth and effective cooperation. He expressed his wish that the Contest could carry forward the entrepreneurial spirit so as to enable students to better understand entrepreneurship and realize their dreams.
    It’s reported that the next contest will be held at Hoseo University. The Contest aims to enhance college students’ entrepreneurship consciousness and serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas and experience in entrepreneurship education, start-up incubator, as well as entrepreneurial practice.
